My feedback for assignment 4 can be read here.
Overall I was pleased with the feedback and was particularly grateful to my tutor as he turned it around very quickly.
I have amended the presentation of the images on my blog so they can be expanded and the the text is legible, as well as changing the order and using a stronger photograph as the establishing image. I will go through my blog and review other assignments and exercises to see if they would benefit from changing the way in which the images are presented.
I have ordered Indie Publishing by Ellen Lupton as I am keen to try producing a photo book, and in the meantime I am going to try producing a PDF photo book that I can upload to my learning log.
I am going to re-shoot both the photographs high-lighted by my tutor to see if I can produce stronger images.
I will take on board the comments about not getting bogged down in looking up and writing about theory, engaging with online learning resources and using fewer images in reviews of artists work.
Enjoyed your work on this project! The only comment I had is that I found it a bit jarring having to look at several different posts to get the full story for the concept, an artist statement on your image post would have cleared up a lot of questions I had before reading your separate post especially around the ideas you brought in of ‘Jerusalem’ and ‘My Mother’s Cupboards…’. Well done on the final output though now knowing the intent I appreciate the depth of meaning behind the juxtaposition 🙂
