Depending on your circumstances, you might allocate time in different ways – a
day a week, an hour a day, larger blocks of time such as weekends or holidays, or
a combination of approaches.
Ask yourself the following questions?
● How much time you can allocate to study each week?
● What is my most/least productive time of the day?
● How well do I manage time?
● What is a realistic schedule to undertake Part One (around 80 learning hours) and when might you set your first deadline?
My aim is to achieve a minimum of nine hours study per week and hopefully more. I think I can realistically set an hour aside for studying on weekdays, either early morning or early evening with the balance at the weekends.
I’m a morning person so I am happy to get up early to do reading or writing. I find the periods when I am least able to concentrate, particularly on writing, are mid-afternoon and late evening.
Generally I manage time well although I sometimes need the pressure of a deadline. I think the main challenge I have is to remain focused and productive in the time I allocate for studying and I intend to try uisng the Pomodoro technique to help me stay on task.
I have agreed with my tutor to submit my first assignment in the third week of February, seven weeks time. I have already completed one of the exercises for this unit and am halfway through the next so I feel that I will have enough time to complete the remaining exercises and assignment by the date agreed with my tutor.
